And for Ralph Dalu, a young and determined farmer based in Banket, resilience means farming smarter, not harder.<\/p>\n

It also means choosing the right partners for the journey. In a region where climate change has become a constant challenge, Ralph found himself staring down at a harsh reality: diminishing pastures, frequent veld fires, and the ever-growing pressure to maintain his livestock\u2019s feed supply.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https:\/\/youtu.be\/CIvr3r_9xD8″ align=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\u201cWe were struggling and faced several challenges, largely because of climate change and field fires,\u201d Ralph explains. \u201cWe simply didn\u2019t have enough grazing field for the cattle. That\u2019s when we decided to start baling hay as a long term strategy.\u201d Ralph produces on average 600 bales per day.<\/p>\n
